North Carolina’s Top Healthcare Executives to Discuss Healthcare and Its Impact on Local Business June 4

Hill, Chesson & Woody to Host 2014 “StormTracker” Panel Discussion with Experts and Business Leaders in Greensboro.

Greensboro, NC, May 07, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Hill, Chesson & Woody (HCW), a health and welfare benefits brokerage and consulting firm that designs, manages and implements employee benefit programs, has announced that it will host its second “StormTracker” event on Wednesday, June 4 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Sedgefield Country Club located at 3201 Forsyth Drive. StormTracker is a breakfast and panel discussion that will provide attendees with a better understanding of the current healthcare environment and how it is impacting Triad area businesses, including evolving pressures and challenges associated with providing an employee benefit plan.

Keeping a health plan’s cost under control while still remaining competitive in the marketplace has been a growing challenge for most businesses in the United States, and business leaders in all industries are facing difficult questions such as how to budget for future healthcare costs, determine the real impact of the regulatory requirements on their businesses, and ensure that their total rewards packages include a benefit strategy that is both affordable and sustainable. HCW’s StormTracker event will bring together leading North Carolina healthcare experts and business leaders to answer all of these questions and more regarding the current healthcare landscape and its impact on the North Carolina economy.

StormTracker panel experts include Garland Scott, CEO of North and South Carolina Markets, United Healthcare; Grace Terrell, CEO of Cornerstone Health Care; and Terry Akin, CEO of Cone Health; as well as local business leader, Kevin O’Connor, President of Samson Marketing.

Todd Yates, HCW managing partner, will serve as moderator. S. Lewis Ebert, president and CEO of the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce, will provide opening remarks, sharing a message around North Carolina’s growing economy, specifically in the Triad in relation to the healthcare system. Sponsors for this event include Capital Associated Industries (CAI) and Triad Business Journal.

Quotes:
“The Affordable Care Act has created a new era for healthcare in America, and many solutions that have helped employers manage their health plans are gone while employer healthcare costs continue to increase,” said Yates. “We are thrilled to bring a second StormTracker event to North Carolina business owners, and we hope that those who attend will leave with a better understanding of the current healthcare environment and how to develop an affordable, comprehensive benefits plan under new healthcare regulations.”
