Raleigh, NC, October 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Better Business Bureau of Eastern North Carolina (BBB) announces today’s launch of a public outreach campaign highlighting the valuable information, resources and services BBB offers to consumers within its 33 county coverage area. The campaign includes a refined logo, Web site and collateral materials supplemented by advertising in print, radio and Internet mediums.
In addition, BBB has changed the title for qualified business from “BBB Member” to “BBB Accredited Business.” The new “accredited” designation highlights the fact that businesses affiliated with BBB agree to meet and uphold BBB’s high standards for integrity and reliability when dealing with consumers.
“Accreditation clearly defines what a business has achieved, stands for and promises to consumers,” says Beverly Baskin, president and CEO of the BBB of Eastern North Carolina. “Many people have spent countless hours working on the new design and refreshed the message of the BBB so consumers and businesses are aware of the many resources our organization provides.”
The new slogan, “Start With Trust,SM” describes the vision and spirit of BBB. Consumers are directed to the new Web site, where they are able to find accredited businesses and charities, as well as research marketplace and consumer issues.
“Consumers should turn to the BBB for reliable, objective advice and information on businesses they can trust,” adds Baskin. “The new brand is a great complement to the consumer alerts, newsletters and other resources the BBB has been providing to consumers for years.”
Nationally, BBB also introduced a series of how-to books on buying a home, buying a franchise business and starting a business on eBay. “BBB Insiders’ Guides” offers information on how to navigate each step successfully while avoiding common pitfalls and mistakes.
