NAFA Announces Details for Fourth Annual International Fleet Academy
NAFA’s global fleet education conference, the International Fleet Academy (IFA) will be held July 14 – 16 at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida.
Princeton, NJ, May 11, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Mergers and acquisitions, along with “going global,” are common business and financial practices in today’s economy, leaving many organizations’ employees to be expected to quickly pick up new skills and responsibilities in a complex environment of varying cultures and processes. NAFA’s fourth Annual International Fleet Academy (IFA) offers cost-saving strategies and valuable lessons to help the fleet professional who manages their fleet of vehicles across nations and cultures. The conference will be held July 14 – 16 in Orlando, Florida.
“As industries continue to grow beyond their borders, and merge with other companies around the globe, fleet professionals can quickly find they need specialized training,” said NAFA’s Chief Executive Officer, Phillip E. Russo, CAE.
NAFA’s International Fleet Academy is the premier industry event for global fleet managers. Created by fleet managers for fleet managers, the three day conference features global fleet experts and panel discussions that will offer strategic overviews on the differences among countries and cultures, and present valuable lessons on how to work with multiple regions simultaneously. In addition to a full agenda of educational sessions, the IFA offers networking opportunities each day throughout the conference.
NAFA’s fourth Annual International Fleet Academy takes place at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, FL. Early-bird registration is $699 for NAFA members and $1,139 for non-members. After June 9, registration costs are $799 for NAFA members and $1,299 for non-members.
The International Fleet Academy offers interactive discussions on a myriad of subjects from cultural differences to the levels of fleet experience that will be encountered across the global fleet spectrum. A panel of experts will tackle strategic value-added issues that are important to global fleet managers such as setting appropriate levels of expectations from OEMs and FMCs, dealing with local fleet organization management and dealers, and how to get value from OEM/FMC partnerships. Attendees will get a progress update on global electric connectivity, which goes hand-in-hand with NAFA’s recent unveiling of the Sustainable Fleet Standard program.
Russo noted, “The IFA will also host a case study of one Fortune 100 company that developed a global fleet management information system. Our attendees will have the rare opportunity to learn of this company’s experience with telematics related to driver controls and awareness issues. It’s an indicator of the depth of knowledge being offered to people who attend the IFA.”
Russo added, “Whether you are building the infrastructure for a global fleet, are moving from a traditional fleet background to a global dynamic, or are an experienced professional with a complex fleet that spans across numerous nations and cultures, NAFA’s International Fleet Academy will benefit you!”
