Los Angeles, CA, May 13, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Rosalyn Kahn, author of “Random Acts of Kindness are Changing the World,” will address the Student Veteran’s Association at Santa Monica College. The speech is entitled “Expressing Gratitude for Our Veterans.”
Throughout her career as an educator, Ms. Kahn has seen a large number of veterans who have taken the public speaking class. In this speech, the stories will include readjusting back to society and the challenges of fitting in. Each of the servicemen in Ms. Kahn’s classes played an important role. One included a gentleman whose role was to send the troops off the departing from Camp Pendleton. Another of the students held the position of traveling as the photographer for the top-ranking officials. One wrote a testimonial of his new-found confidence in the position of visiting the homes of the recently diseased. Furthermore, Ms. Kahn has experienced the impact of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder with the students in the classroom.
Ms. Kahn holds a special appreciation for our servicemen and women. Volunteer activities included collecting goods and preparing care packages out of the Van Nuys Armory for Project Gratitude and sending letters via email to service people. There have been several other requests from other Veterans Groups to have Ms. Kahn address their group. Contact for Ms Kahn is available at www.rosalynkahn.com.
