Liquid Soul Media Targets HBCU Football Classics to Kick Off Promotions for Film - “This Christmas”
Atlanta, GA, October 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Liquid Soul Media (LSM) has been contracted by Sony Screen Gem to activate grassroots marketing campaigns for the upcoming film “This Christmas”. The film is produced by Atlanta‟s Rainforest Films and is slated to be released on November 21, 2007.
LSM‟s campaign includes strategically tapping into the African-American market via the popular football classics and homecoming events of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). Such events include the recent Bank of America Atlanta Football Classic, Southwest Airlines State Fair Classic, Florida A&M University (FAMU) Homecoming, the Coca-Cola Circle City Classic and the State Farm Bayou Classic, just to name a few. “Going to these types of games is not only a rite of passage for the students at these HBCUs, but a yearly tradition for alumni, family members and the community,” says Tirrell Whittley, Founder and Principal of Liquid Soul Media and FAMU alum.
LSM also provided buy-in marketing campaigns for Rainforest Films hit movies “The Gospel” and “Stomp The Yard”. The film opens in theaters nationwide on November 21, 2007 and stars Loretta Divine, Regina King, Idris Elba, Mekhi Phifer, Lauren Londyn and Chris Brown.
