Family Ponding at the Larchmont Reservoir with Sheldrake Environmental Center

Larchmont, NY, May 17, 2014 --(PR.com)-- After what seemed like the winter that would never end, the snow has finally melted and the temperatures are rising. It's time to turn off the T.V., get off the couch, and get outside. Sheldrake would like to help get the entire family back outside and enjoying nature, so Sheldrake is offering many programs to help the family do so. Here is a preview of one of Sheldrake's upcoming outdoor programs.

Family Ponding at the Larchmont Reservoir (ages 5 and up) - Sunday, 6/1, 2pm

Join Sheldrake and look to see who's living in the pond. Scooping directly from the pond's edge to find tadpoles, dragonfly larvae, beetles, fish, and whoever else is there. Come and learn about the tiny inhabitants of the local pond. Children 5 years and up along with their parents are welcome to attend. The cost is $5 per child, but adults are free.
