U.S. Mint Conducts Event in Utah's Arches National Park

The America the Beautiful Coins include Delicate Arch from Arches National Park. Collector sets can be purchased, as well as, bags of 100 coins June 9, 2014. First the U. S. Mint will introduce the Arches National Park quarter to the public at the visitor center of it's namesake park on June 6, 2014.

Moab, UT, May 18, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Join Arches National Park staff, Moab community members, and representatives from the U.S. Mint on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 9 AM to commemorate a new America the Beautiful coin depicting Delicate Arch. Delicate Arch is an icon for the entire state of Utah. It is featured on Utah state license plates and billboards along the interstate to welcome travelers across the border into Utah.

The new quarter is the 23rd coin in a 56 coin series. The series began production in 2010. The Arches National Park quarter will be available for circulation on June 9th. The U.S. Mint produced the 50 States series first. It was a success. The America the Beautiful coins are next in the program.

Collector sets can be purchased, as well as, bags of 100 coins starting June 9, 2014. It happens that 2014 is the 50th Anniversary of Canyonlands National Park. Wouldn’t that have been cool to have Canyonlands minted this year? However, Arches National Park is much more popular than Canyonlands. Arches saw 1,082,866 visitors in 2013 where Canyonlands had 462,242 visitors. Both parks can be accessed from one destination: Moab Utah.
