Blackburn Casts Horror Heavyweights
Vancouver production company 3B Entertainment announces casting for the action packed horror movie Blackburn is now complete.
Los Angeles, CA, May 22, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Ken Kirzinger (Frieddy vs. Jason) has been cast in the role of Digits with Brad Loree (Halloween: Resurrection) in the role of 3Eyes. Also cast are genre veterans Lochlyn Munro (Freddy vs. Jason) and Emilie Ullerup (Sanctuary, A Little Bit Zombie) alongside Disney’s Calum Worthy (Austin and Ally and Daydream Nation), Sarah Lind (Severed), Zack Peledeau (Crisis Point) and Alexander Calvert (Lost Boys: The Tribe).
Blackburn is set in a small Alaskan ghost-town with a horrifying history. A forest fire and rockslide trap five bickering college friends overnight. Seeking refuge inside the abandoned Blackburn Mine they must band together as they are mysteriously slaughtered one-by-one.
Directed by Lauro Chartrand (Born to Raise Hell), and written by Nastasha Baron (Kingdoms of Grace), production begins on June 2nd.
“Blackburn has one of the strongest casts and crews I’ve ever seen,” said director Lauro Chartrand, “and I’ve worked on dozens and dozens of productions over the past 25 years. I am very excited to be directing such top talent and working with such a passionate crew.”
Producer W. Corr Pearce said: “With the completion of casting the film, Blackburn now moves out of pre-production and into principal photography on June 2nd. We’re thrilled by the early response to Nastasha’s script and we’ve assembled an incredible cast to bring this story to life.”
