RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon and Crew Plan Visits to Two Darien Schools in Coming Weeks; Will Present Interactive Educational Program
Darien, IL, May 22, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon and its crew will make two stops in Darien, Ill., in May and June to present an interactive educational program developed and sponsored by the RE/MAX real estate network in northern Illinois.
The RE/MAX balloon will visit Lace Elementary School, 7414 Cass Ave., on May 27, and then go to Concord Elementary School, 1019 Concord Pl., on June 4. The program will be presented outdoors on the school grounds at both locations so the balloon envelope can be inflated with hot air to its full 75-foot height, weather permitting. If the program needs to be moved indoors due to inclement weather, the envelope will be partially inflated with cold air so that students can walk inside it as part of the educational experience.
On hand to enhance the occasion will be a “cold air” version of the RE/MAX Soaring Home Balloon, a house-like inflatable that has become a crowd favorite since being introduced a few years ago.
The program will begin 8:45 a.m. at Lace School and at 1:30 p.m. at Concord School. Students and staff members at both schools will get to see the balloon up close and learn about various aspects of ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles involved. They will also see a demonstration on how the balloon functions.
