10th Annual Client Conference Empowers Clients to Learn New Retail Technology
Celerant Clients Flock to Atlanta for a Firsthand Glimpse of New Software Enhancements.
Staten Island, NY, May 25, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Celerant Technology Corp, a leader in the retail software industry and provider of omnichannel retail management systems, hosted its 10th Annual Client Conference in Atlanta, May 7th-9th. The conference welcomed over 100 attendees who received a first-hand look at Stratus Retail, the future of Celerant’s robust retail suite, and reviewed enhancements to the current version of Command Retail, along with additions to the integrated E-Commerce platform. In addition to marking the 10th year anniversary of the event, 2014 also represents the return to Atlanta, which is where Celerant’s first conference was held.
“At this year’s event we were able to share several milestones with our clients, including our 15th year in business and the initial launch of Stratus Retail, our next generation retail software,” said Ian Goldman, President and CEO of Celerant Technology. “Each year we look forward to hosting our annual conference allowing for that personal interaction with our clients, and to announce the new enhancements that have been made to our expanding product line. As a company we are always changing and evolving and we want to share this evolution with our customer base. Moving forward, the new product enhancements will have positive impacts for our clients, while enabling Celerant to further extend a reach into the retail landscape, regardless of size or vertical.”
Celerant’s Client Conference is comprised of training sessions, interactive workshops, and break-out sessions that review many different aspects of the software. This year, new sessions were included to demonstrate the latest features that have been added to the Command Retail system, as well as several sessions focusing on Celerant’s new browser based, thin client product, Stratus Retail, including web based point of sale, vendor catalog Integration, streamlined fulfillment, and range management/scheduling capability. New session topics were added to the agenda for mobile commerce, advancements in data warehousing, and omnichannel fulfillment, as well as a series of new feature topics in which clients were able to experience hands-on with available computers running the newest version of Command Retail.
Mickey Hutcheson, CIO of Farmer’s Furniture said “Our partnership with Celerant Technology and our use of Command Retail in our stores has allowed us to grow our business by using a customizable system that is tailored to fit our needs. As a Client Conference regular, we were very excited to participate in this year’s event, especially for the opportunity to learn from Celerant staff and other attendees. Being a niche retail business with very unique requirements can be a little daunting, but it is highly visible that Celerant staff members are willing to go the distance to meet our needs.”
“As we were expanding beyond just a store business, we needed something that could handle the E-Commerce platform, the phone orders, the stores, the Amazon partnerships,” explained Anthony Qaiyum, President of Merz Apothecary. “We moved to Celerant looking to solve the multi-channel or the omni-channel dilemma so to speak. So when Celerant asked me to share my own real-world examples as a co-moderator in the omni-channel fulfillment session, I was happy to oblige. Being able to relate to a fellow retailer can sometimes be as insightful as learning from the Celerant staff itself.”
“The platform, and how it works, it’s very easy for a smaller retailers to use,” said Rose Jannuzzi, COO of Chinese Laundry. “And it has all the critical pieces.” Looking ahead towards 2015, Jannuzzi said she hoped to further capitalize on the growing prevalence of E-Commerce and mobile technology. In attending the Stratus Retail and E-Commerce breakout sessions, Jannuzzi hoped to learn to how better incorporate the use of iPads on the showroom floor for customer use. “Our customers use the web a lot,” she said. “We want the web to be something the customer can better utilize and understand when they’re standing in the store.”
Celerant’s 10th Annual Client Conference proved to be an event that enabled clients to learn and become more empowered with the knowledge and expertise to use the Celerant software in a way that is conducive to each client’s unique business, not only by learning from the Celerant staff, but also from retailers who might be utilizing the system in other ways. Research is already underway for the location of next year’s conference, which will be determined based on this year’s client survey results.
