Association of Noise Consultants to Reward Best Acoustic Practitioners
ANC 2014 Awards will see one entrant win a Brüel & Kjær 2250 Light Sound Level meter.
Royston, United Kingdom, May 29, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Association of Noise Consultants (ANC) annual awards, taking place in June, will see one of the entrants win a state-of-the-art sound level meter, donated by Brüel & Kjær.
ANC Awards Task Force chairman, Ed Clarke said: “Our Awards look for examples of work that displays innovation and originality in acoustic design - or approach to a particular project. There are no restrictions on size or type of project. Work must have been undertaken in the last two years (but need not be complete) and the consultancy must be in operating in the UK although the project may be elsewhere.”
ANC’s awards scheme, now in its second year, features five categories: Environmental Acoustics, sponsored by Brüel & Kjær; Architectural Acoustics, sponsored by Ecophon; Transportation Noise Control, sponsored by IAC; Sound Insulation, sponsored by Robust Details and Best Presentation, sponsored by Rockwool.
The winner of the Brüel & Kjær Award for Environmental Acoustics will be presented with one of the company’s brand new Type 2250 Light sound level meter during the ANC’s conference dinner, which takes place on Tuesday June 24 in Birmingham’s Crowne Plaza hotel.
Brüel & Kjær’s European Sales Director, Christophe Sinsou said: “We are proud to support the ANC’s annual awards again, especially in the category that rewards the hard work of today’s environmental acoustic consultants. Good luck to all the entrants and we look forward to an enjoyable evening.”
Last year’s winner of the Brüel & Kjær Award was ACCON UK for their project - BFK JV Tunnelling (Royal Oak - Farringdon), Crossrail Contract C300 - which had to meet exceptionally stringent acoustic criteria from Crossrail, related to re-radiated noise from the construction of the Crossrail tunnel.
