Southern Modular Industries, LP "SMI" Announces Production Start Up, and Additions to the SMI Team

Houston, TX, January 18, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Southern Modular Industries, LP "SMI", a wholesale manufacturer of modular structures announced today that it has begun production in its’ Houston, Texas facility. Manufacturing started on schedule and SMI plans a controlled ramp up in its production in order to meet the needs of its dealer distributors for commercial modular product.

Southern Modular Industries is pleased to also announce the addition of Richard Brewer and Ray Schmuck to the SMI management TEAM. Richard Brewer has accepted the position of Director of Supply Chain Management. Mr. Brewer has twenty five plus years of experience in the modular building industry. He has held management positions with Modtech Holdings, Premier, Technical Space, and Markline. Ray Schmuck has accepted the position of Production Manager. Mr. Schmuck brings many years of modular manufacturing experience to the SMI team. He has held similar management roles at American Modular, Modtech Holdings, and Trac Modular.

Headquartered in Houston, Texas, SMI and has more than 100,000 Square Feet of manufacturing space dedicated to providing high quality commercial modular products to its distribution partners. SMI is a wholesale manufacturer that markets its buildings through a dealer network.
