Newport, RI Nonprofit Hosts Free, Nov 5 Conference with Community Leader Geoffery Canada

The Newport Initiative for Nonprofit Leadership, a program of Child & Family, will be hosting the free conference “Extending The Zone: Creating Positive Opportunities for Families and Communities” on November 5, 2007 at the Hotel Viking Ballroom in Newport, Rhode Island. The conference features renowned nonprofit, community leader Geoffrey Canada and senior staff from the Harlem Children’s Zone.

Newport, RI, October 15, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Newport Initiative for Nonprofit Leadership, a program of Child & Family, today announced it will host the conference “Extending The Zone: Creating Positive Opportunities for Families and Communities” on November 5, 2007 at the Hotel Viking Ballroom in Newport, Rhode Island. The conference features renowned nonprofit, community leader Geoffrey Canada and senior staff from the Harlem Children’s Zone.

This one day conference in Newport, Rhode Island will focus on youth, family and community challenges that present opportunities for creative and effective solutions as offered by the senior management team of the Harlem Children’s Zone. Attendance to the seminar is limited to 250 and is free and open to all members of the community, including nonprofits and faith-based organizations working with children and families.
