Free Spay/Neuter to Military Families by Local Veterinary Hospital
San Diego, CA, May 29, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Locally Owned Veterinary Hospital is Giving Back to the Military through their newly created “Helping Paws” program. Over 500 free spay or neuter’s have been performed since the inception of the program in October of 2013.
“Helping Paws has been our most aggressive initiative in my 30-plus years of practicing, but it is so rewarding to give back to the men and women who serve in our military,” says Craig J. Mohnacky, DVM. Dr. Mohnacky, President & CEO goes on to say, “We have been serving clients since 1981, guided by our unwavering commitment to the highest quality veterinary care, client service and a desire to give back to the community.”
Ability To Give Back
“We have currently enhanced the program due to a high demand of people wanting to contribute financially to the program,” said Dr. Mohnacky. Anyone interested, can now go to the dedicated website: www.helpingpawssandiego.com to donate through a PayPal account or follow the community involvement. “This program is a community effort,” says Mohnacky. He goes on to say that our motto used to be “Our Clients Helping Others”; now they can have it to include “Our Community Helping Others.”
How It Works:
For every spay or neuter package that is performed at any one of the Mohnacky Animal Hospitals (Carlsbad, Vista or Escondido) a free voucher will be made available to someone in the military. “Because of the robust demand for this program, additional donations from the community will help expand our offerings to the military community,” says Dr. Mohnacky.
Military personnel can request vouchers online at www.mohnackyvista.com (click on Helping Paws Program). Vouchers are made available and allocated to any military personnel on a first come first served basis.
To help continue to make vouchers available, schedule your pet’s spay or neuter through www.mohnackycarlsbad.com, www.mohnackyvista.com or www.mohnackyescondido.com.
