T.R. Threston, has announced that her KIVA team has surpassed the $25,000 in loans mark, and that her team has already doubled the amount of loans (in dollar amounts) from 2013, and the year is only half over.
New York, NY, June 04, 2014 --(PR.com)-- World Guide Publishing™ C.E.O., T.R. Threston, has announced that her KIVA team has surpassed the $25,000 in loans mark, and that her team has already doubled the amount of loans (in dollar amounts) from 2013, and the year is only half over.
When asked Threston stated “I’m proud of each and every contributor on my KIVA team. I realize that there are several KIVA teams that raise millions (some even in a month’s time), but considering the size of my team, I am beyond thrilled.” She went on to explain that her KIVA team has just over 300 members, and the team was formed less than two years ago in February, 2012. Threston’s KIVA team has made over 825 loans in 44 countries since its inception. Threston went on to say that “It’s been a true team effort, and we remain committed to KIVA and their efforts to help others to help themselves through this micro-loans program.”
KIVA is a non-profit organization that provides micro-loans in an effort to help alleviate poverty. Additionally, KIVA has earned a four star rating on Charity Navigator which is the highest level any charity can receive from the watchdog group.
