University of Georgia Bulldogs Chose FieldTurf... Again
Athens, GA, June 05, 2014 --(PR.com)-- FieldTurf has again been chosen by the University of Georgia football program as the new surface for Woodruff Field. The innovative FieldTurf Classic HD CoolPlay turf system will be installed to provide an elite-level artificial turf surface and to reduce surface temperature.
“When we were looking to replace our synthetic field, I wanted to continue our relationship with FieldTurf,” said Mark Richt, head football coach for the Bulldogs. “We like the quality and we are very excited about using CoolPlay. It will reduce the temperature of our turf for the safety of our players.”
FieldTurf’s exclusive cork top dressing allows the CoolPlay system to deliver the same behavior and overall stability as FieldTurf’s elite system fields found in the world’s most famous stadiums. CoolPlay was designed to reduce the heat without any reduction in field performance.
“We are thrilled to have University of Georgia chose FieldTurf once again for their football program,” said FieldTurf President Eric Daliere. “The Bulldogs will have an innovative high performance field that they can be proud of for many years to come.”
The University of Georgia has also installed ‘FieldTurf Classic HD’ in their Butts-Mehre Indoor Facility this month. In addition to the Bulldogs, other top NCAA programs playing on FieldTurf include Illinois, Illinois State, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, West Virginia, Nebraska, Washington, Texas, Texas Tech, Iowa, Rutgers, Syracuse, Cincinnati and Louisville.
