EMLab P&K Files for Patent Protection for MoldRANGE™ Climate Reports at the U.S. Patent Office
EMLab P&K files for patent protection through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for its proprietary MoldRANGE™ Climate report. The mold lab report correlates historic outdoor mold data with each climate’s unique range of outdoor mold spores.
San Bruno, CA, June 06, 2014 --(PR.com)-- EMLab P&K, a TestAmerica company and the leading commercial indoor air quality (IAQ) laboratory in North America, announced today that the company has filed for patent protection through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for its MoldRANGE™ Climate reports. EMLab P&K’s patent filing covers its proprietary system and method for searching, collecting, correlating, and generating mold spore data for mold reports related to climates.
“We are proud to continue contributing meaningful innovations to the IAQ industry. Our recent patent filing protects recent and upcoming improvements to our MoldRANGE™ report, which are increasingly useful for our clients by providing enhanced data about a specific area’s unique range of outdoor mold spores,” said Dave Gallup, EMLab P&K’s General Manager and Co-Founder. “The report helps mold investigators save time and money by providing statistically meaningful perspective on the range and variation of the typical outdoor data. Our MoldRANGE™ report has helped many clients avoid unnecessary mold remediation, which often save several thousand dollars per incident. The improvements we’ve made to our MoldRANGE™ reports help our clients and our industry. It also further positions EMLab P&K as a leader in the environmental testing industry.”
EMLab P&K is the first and only mold laboratory to provide MoldRANGE™ Climate reports. The MoldRANGE™ Climate report uses climate classifications that help correlate historic outdoor mold spore data with each climate’s unique range of outdoor mold spores. The report helps mold investigators better understand if a mold problem exists in the indoor environment, compared to fungal spores that are typically found present in the outside air for a specific region and climate. The MoldRANGE™ Climate report is part of EMLab P&K’s growing list of innovations including: mobile apps for Apple® iPhones and Android platform mobile devices, the BioCassette™ air sampling device, MoldSTAT™ spore trap report, the MoldSCORE™ statistically generated spore scoring number, and a wide array of reporting options.
