Wednesday, June 25, Charleston School of Business Hosts Event at JCT. Kitchen & Bar, "The Business Behind Your Dinner," with Chef and Managing Partner Ford Fry

Atlanta, GA, June 06, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Join the Charleston School of Business Club on Wednesday, June 25, at JCT. Kitchen & Bar for an authentic “foodie” event for business professionals. Eat, drink and network while listening to a panel of culinary experts, including chef and managing partner, Ford Fry of JCT. Kitchen & Bar; Kevin Gillespie, chef and owner of Gunshow; Steve Palmer, managing partner of Indigo Road Restaurant Group; and Celia Tully, founder of Strippaggio Artisan Oils, Vinegars and Specialty Foods.

The evening’s focus will be on the business of food. While attendees network and enjoy what JCT. Kitchen & Bar has to offer, they will also be provided insight by this impressive panel of foodservice professionals. Dr. Bob Frash, chair of Hospitality and Tourism Management for the College of Charleston, will act as the moderator.

This event will be held at JCT. Kitchen & Bar on Wednesday, June 25, 6-8 p.m. JCT. Kitchen & Bar is located at 1198 Howell Mill Road #18, Atlanta, GA 30318. Registration for the event is $10 for Charleston School of Business members, and $20 for non-members. All are welcome and it is not restricted to alumni. Complimentary valet parking will be provided. About The Culinary Experts
Ford Fry, chef and managing partner, “empire builder of the year,” and restaurateur behind St. Cecilia, King + Duke, the Optimist, No. 246, and JCT. Kitchen & Bar. Fry has plans of opening a suburban restaurant, El Felix, in Alpharetta’s Avalon and a yet unnamed restaurant in Houston, TX.

Steve Palmer, managing partner of Indigo Road Restaurant Group, which includes the James Beard Foundation-nominated The Macintosh as well as Oak Steakhouse, O-Ku, and Indaco, all located in Charleston. Palmer formerly served as vice president of food and beverage for the Ginn Clubs and Resorts.

Kevin Gillespie, chef and owner of Gunshow, recent author of his debut cookbook, “Fire in My Belly,” was named a 2013 James Beard Award Finalist. He was also 2009 contestant on the TV show “Top Chef.”

Celia Tully is the founder of Strippaggio Artisan Oils, Vinegars and Specialty Foods. She created her tasting bar in 2012. Previously, Tully worked for Natural Body Spa & Shop as a partner and the Chief Marketing Officer. She holds two previous non-profit board member positions with Green Spa Network and Earth Share Georgia.
