The Chatman Women’s Foundation Launches PowHer Play 2014: A Bold Opportunity for Women of all Professions
Houston, TX, June 08, 2014 --(PR.com)-- PowHer Play 2014 is an event that will be hosted by The Chatman Women’s Foundation on Friday, June 27th, 2014 from 7am-9:30am at the Junior League of Houston. Tickets are on sale for $40. PowHer Play is intended to empower and increase women's power or influence through motivating events, true accountability and professional development.
PowHer Play is a spin-off of the term power play because it specifies tactics for success geared towards professional women. This event is ideal for businesswomen in the area who wish to network, learn, and grow together. Women will have the opportunity to listen to speakers and professionals discuss relevant and enticing topics.
Event attendance will not exceed over 100 women in an effort to ensure intimacy and exclusivity. The purpose of PowHer Play is designed not only to empower professionals, but also to encourage women to collaborate their way to greater relationships. The smaller group setting offered at the event is ideal for such interaction.
In an interview with Shantera Chatman, Founder of The Chatman Women’s Foundation and Creator of PowHer Play, she said that success is not a competition; that we need to get past the notion of women not working well together. She says, "We must proceed to enable fellow women. Women empowerment is about defying the odds and creating better lives.” PowHer Play is a leap forward towards achieving this goal.
Each ticket sold is an investment in other women in the community. All proceeds from PowHer Play will go to scholarships for women in the Houston community trying to better themselves through education.
PowHer Play 2014 has the potential to create a remarkable impact in the lives of women of all professions. Log onto www.hptmedia.com to get tickets and more information about The Chatman Women’s Foundation and PowHer Play.
