Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce's 36th Golf Outing a Success
The 36th Annual Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce and Industry's 36th Annual Golf Outing was a success, exceeding the expectations of the Board with a higher number of golfers, people attending dinner and volume of sponsorship over last year's event.
Morton Grove, IL, June 19, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Morton Grove Chamber's 36th Annual Golf Outing exceeded the expectations of the Director and Board of Directors this year. Deb Juris, the Chamber's Executive Director reported that there were more golfers, people attending the dinner and sponsors at this year's event.
Held at the Chevy Chase Golf Club (1000 N Milwaukee Avenue in Wheeling, IL) the day started early with golfers checking in at 9:30 am. The shotgun start to the day began about 11:00 am with the golfers being joined by non-golfers alike for dinner at 5 pm.
Chamber of Commerce President, Jeannine Como said, "I am very thankful to all those who supported this event, whether by golfing, attending the dinner or purchasing raffle tickets," and went on to say, "Without our sponsors who contributed cash and prizes, the raffle would not have been the outstanding success it was."
All of the sponsors who participated in the event can be found on the Morton Grove Chamber's website, www.mgcci.org or on their Facebook page.
The Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce provided a check from a portion of the raffle ticket sales to the American Legion Post 134 for their support of “Operation Comfort Warrior” as a way to show their appreciation to those who are serving (or have served) their country.
As a “Chamber for Good” member, the Morton Grove Chamber is helping bring individuals, organizations and businesses together to achieve great things for charitable causes within our community.
