Physician Shortage Tackled by New Hiring Site
HiredMD Provides Revolutionary Centralized Hiring Site for US Physicians
Chicago, IL, June 15, 2014 --(PR.com)-- DarDan Ventures is pleased to announce the official launch of its website HiredMD.com. HiredMD.com seeks to curb the physician shortage in the United States by revolutionizing physician recruiting by providing a transparent and user friendly recruiting tool.
“We are experiencing a severe physician shortage in the United States, and elsewhere,” said Darryl Glover, co-founder DarDan Ventures. “Primary care is experiencing the greatest shortage especially in rural areas. Both employers and physicians must register and apply to be part of HiredMD.com. Once approved, the two sides can communicate freely and schedule interviews to take place offline. Following the interview, employers place anonymous bids on candidates, where the amount can be seen, but not the employer’s details. Physicians are free to counter bid, accept any offer they like, or none at all.
The growing shortage of primary care doctors in the United States is also a cause of major government concern. In a press conference call earlier this month, U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer said that more than 60% of New York hospitals are currently “without the medical staff they need.” According to the Association of American Medical Colleges, by 2020, there will be a shortage of more than 90,000 doctors across the country.
HiredMD.com provides a centralized location for medical facilities and hospitals to find physicians, which are available for hire, across the United States. There is no initial cost to register or to have a profile or job on the site.
