ubivent conducts a Virtual Information Fairs for the Education Sector
Mannheim, Germany, June 23, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The keyword is “international.” It is already well known that universities try to attract students from abroad and enter the battle for the brightest of minds. But how can you get students interested in you, if they are thousands of miles away? This problem can be solved with the help of virtual event technology.
As the pioneer among German universities, the University of Mannheim has used the ubivent platform for virtual fairs for several years already. This helps students from abroad to get a first impression of the university. Sitting in front of your own computer, you can get information on personal as well as professional aspects, and communicate with the university’s staff. The most current example of these events is the information fair for the “Mannheim Master in Management.” The University of Mannheim’s offer strikes by the vast amount of information, which can be found at virtual booths. Furthermore, the staff can be approached to get answers to questions in private text chats, and interesting presentations on relevant topics, such as the chances of getting to study abroad during your master program, can be viewed in the auditorium.
Not only were the students impressed by the benefits of such an event but the host was impressed as well. This is confirmed by Prof. Dr. Armin Heinzl, professor and chair holder at the University of Mannheim: "Thanks to the ubivent platform, we are able to reach far more prospective students than ever possible with a physical event. Because of these virtual events, we get the chance to select our future students from a bigger and more qualified pool of applicants than before. This innovative concept was conducted very smoothly and professionally by ubivent. Therefore, virtual events will play a key role in our future event plans."
