Raymond Alvin Boland is Aerospace Engineer Emeritus at the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) in Huntsville, Alabama. Mr. Boland’s field of expertise is in maintenance engineering, providing technical instructions and authorization for repair of battle and crash damage as well as major structural repairs troubleshooting helicopter systems problems. Mr. Boland was deployed to Saudi Arabia during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm to provide hands-on engineering support to U.S. Army aviation units. Mr. Boland is the Recipient of AAAA, The Honorable Order of St. Michael and the YMCA Greater St. Louis Volunteer of the Year Award. Mr. Boland attained a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas at Austin. Previously, Mr. Boland was an Aerospace/Industrial Engineer at AVSCOM and a General Engineer at TAFT in Tehran, Iran. He retired from AMRDEC in 2010. In his free time, Mr. Boland enjoys gardening, fishing and spectator sports.
