Michelle Simms of Terramor Homes Receives 2014 40 Under 40 Leadership Award

Raleigh, NC, June 21, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Terramor Homes, a local premier home building company in the Triangle, has announced that Chief Operating Officer Michelle Simms was a recipient of the 2014 40 Under 40 Leadership Award from Triangle Business Journal. Each year, the 40 Under 40 Leadership Awards recognizes outstanding professionals under the age of 40 for their contributions to their organizations and to the community. Simms was selected for the award from among 200 qualified nominations for her commitment to the service and growth of both Terramor Homes and the Triangle community at large.

Seven years ago, Simms co-founded Terramor Homes with Pablo Reiter after several years of experience in Triangle real estate. Along with their goal of providing excellence in homebuilding, Simms and the Terramor team have made significant contributions to the Triangle community, including partnering with the MIX 101.5 Radiothon for Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center to build the 2014 Miracle Home. Terramor raised $200,000 for the cause, $80,000 more than expected. Simms played a major role in the success of the 2014 Miracle Home and many other charitable community programs.

The awards luncheon took place on June 12 at the Prestonwood Country Club in Cary. Simms was honored for her outstanding achievements along with the 39 other award winners. Additionally, Triangle Business Journal profiled Simms and all other winners in a special section in its June 13 print edition.
