New Book "Fallen, But Not Forgotten" - Inspiring Message for Anyone Who Has Ever Made Life Mistakes, Felt Unworthy or Unloved
A new book shares an inspiring message for anyone who has made mistakes in life.
Yoakum, TX, October 18, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The book, titled “Fallen, but Not Forgotten” tells the life story of author Frances Munson. The book reveals how she learned that God’s mercy and love never waivers, no matter what a person has done in life.
“I wrote the book in hopes that sharing my experiences -- good, bad, and otherwise would allow people to see how Great God is -- How Big His Love is -- How Unfailing His Grace & Mercy are and to reach out to others who might have been or who might be feeling some of the same pain I had," said author Frances Munson. “There is no mistake too bad for God’s love to cover you. He always loves and His arms are always waiting.”
Munson describes her life growing up in a conservative family and going to a Southern Baptist Church.
“I did not feel loved,” she wrote. “I was the victim of sexual abuse by a number of people. As a result, I became a sexually promiscuous teenager and young adult – I learned early on that I could “buy” love from the boys and men in my life by providing them with sexual favors. I soon became dependent on this ‘love’ and moved from man to man. I was never alone.”
Munson then took the “southward road” and her life “spun out of control.”
“I was a human disaster and anyone or anything that got near me usually ended up being hurt as well,” said Munson. “I cried out to God frequently during this time and couldn’t understand why it seemed as though He had forgotten me.”
She stopped going to church, as she felt she had “too many secrets” and moved out a month before turning 17. By 27, she was divorcing her second husband.
“During this ten year period of time is when I worked the hardest to destroy my life,” said Munson. “I was not faithful to either of my first two husbands – Sex really was the focus of my life. The more men I could turn on, the better it was. I didn’t even learn my lesson when I was raped a few times.”
Then, a slew of health problems took over Munson’s life –seizures, asthma attacks and Fibromyalgia. In the midst of health problems, Munson was faced with drug charges from marijuana that a friend had left in her home. She wasn’t charged, but was then arrested for having and allowing inappropriate conversations and arduously encouraging a minor to have sex in her home.
Facing felony charges, she also lost custody of her son, and at that point felt she had lost everything. Again, she turned to promiscuity to mask her pain.
"Looking back, I realize, that like any good Father, God would do what He needed to get my attention, and He wasn't through spanking me yet."
Munson took a deal for ten years probation and was labeled for life. She felt like her life was getting worse by the minute. This is when she finally turned to God.
"Nothing would ever be the same. I was about to embark on a journey like no other, harder than anything I'd ever done, more rewarding, challenging, blessed, grueling, and wonderful, all at once," says Munson. "God had a plan for my life and He wasn't giving up on me. Because of my probation, I had to behave, and I had to go therapy. I had to get it right or go to jail. God knew what it would take to save me and in His Grace and Mercy, He used the legal system to change my life."
“Nobody falls so far that God will not reach down and pull us back up, if we just ask,” said Munson. “God truly loves all of us, no matter what mistakes we have made – I’m proof of that. For the first time I have a wonderful husband of 4 years and the kind of marriage I used to dream about including 6 step-children and 1 step-grandson. Now I am an author using the mistakes of my past to reach out to others and show them how Big God's Love is, and how Merciful He is.”
Frances founded her company, Mud Puddle Industries, with the premise of one day turning it into a full time ministry. The name came from her journey. "No matter how Muddy you get, you can still be Magnificent", says Munson.
The book, “Fallen but Not Forgotten,” by Frances D. Munson is available for $14.99 on the author’s website: www.mudpuddleind.com.
