LRB Productions and TheKnot.com to Provide Free Wedding to One Couple Impacted by reBar Closing; Winners to be Randomly Drawn and Announced at Exclusive Event

New York, NY, June 22, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Brooklyn-based event and wedding production and management company, Little Red Bean (LRB) Productions, and the number one wedding planning destination, TheKnot.com, along with more than 15 top NY-metro vendors are generously donating their services for a free wedding to one couple who was directly impacted by the reBar closing. The initiative, titled the Lemons to Lemonade Wedding Giveaway, is a program dedicated to turning something sour into something sweet.

reBar was a popular Brooklyn wedding venue that abruptly closed its doors on May 9th 2014, leaving over 100 engaged couples out tens of thousands of dollars each and with no wedding venue. It is estimated that the couples lost near $1 million combined.

“The reBar closing left many couples helpless and devastated. And, as an event producer and Brooklyn-native, I sympathized with the couples and felt that it was our rightful duty to rally the local wedding industry to give back and do our best to re-instill faith in the industry,” said Russell Pinto Jr., President of LRB Productions.

To celebrate this giveaway, couples impacted by reBar’s closing have been invited to a cocktail reception at 404 NYC hosted in partnership with TheKnot.com, where they will be able to “test-drive” the prize, enter for a chance to win and connect with the vendors contributing to the giveaway. The vendors have offered additional discounts for contest runners-up. Russell Pinto Jr, President of LRB Productions, and Anja Winikka, Site Director of TheKnot.com, will announce the winner of the giveaway and honor former reBar director and coordinator Tyler Lindsay and Katherine Cassell for their selfless work to help couples recuperate the most important event in their lives.
