AceClamp®/PMC Exhibits Solar Kits at PV America 2014
AceClamp® fasteners receive UL Listings; New L-Bracket provides complete access to mounting clamps.
Plainville, CT, June 25, 2014 --(PR.com)-- AceClamp®/PMC Industries will exhibit its time-saving solar kits for standing seam metal roofs (SSMR) at PV America 2014, June 23-25, in the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. AceClamp®’s booth number is #263.
The AceClamp® Solar Kit, using the patented and FM-Approved AceClamp® ML, provides contractors the fastest and the easiest installation available today. The solar kit comes fully assembled and allows installation at any point on the seam. The clamp’s single fastening screw is top-loaded, providing easy, quick access for the contractor, completing installation in less than half the time of conventional side-mounting systems.
AceClamp®’s Solar Kit’s serrated top and bottom flanges capture the PV panel and bond the panels frame-to-frame. The solar kit is engineered with optional polymer inserts that isolate the PV panels from the AceClamp® body, assuring that no current will stray through the clamp and onto the metal roof system.
The AceClamp® A2® Solar Kit offers the PV market one of the strongest clamp systems in the industry, compared with single set-screw clamp systems. The completely assembled AceClamp® A2® has a distinctive “push-pin” design that prevents torque back-out, caused by wind flutter or constant seismic vibration. The A-2® is also engineered with a grounding cable groove incorporated into the clamp itself. Like the AceClamp® ML, the AceClamp® A2® does not scratch the paint on panel surfaces, upholding manufacturers’ warranties.
The AceClamp® A2® and Solar Kit and AceCamp® ML and Solar Kit are Listed for Mechanical Loading and Bonding Evaluation in accordance with UL 2703. The AceClamp® A2® and Solar Kit is also Evaluated to UL 467 for its integral ground-lug function.
AceClamp®’s new L-Bracket, used to angle solar panels, provides complete access to mounting clamp fasteners, making solar racking systems easier than ever to install. Contractors no longer have to contend with wide, L-shaped brackets that prevent complete access to mounting clamp fasteners. The bracket’s shorter foot allows complete access to the A2® AceClamp®’s grounding cable channel and does not need to be removed to install wire.
