Maureen McGrath of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties and The Charitable Foundation Provide Hope, Support for Local Women
San Diego, CA, June 25, 2014 --(PR.com)-- By hosting a seminar on how to chart a path to homeownership at the Women’s Opportunity Conference, Maureen McGrath of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties made a lasting and positive impact on the lives of numerous local women. McGrath also raised awareness about the event to The Charitable Foundation, which donated $1500 to sponsor the conference.
Designed to help women overcome various obstacles and improve their lives, the Women’s Opportunity Conference featured a number of workshops, speakers, panel presentations and resource table clinics, as well as breakfast snacks and lunch, prize drawings, and a fashion show by the American Cancer Society Thrift Shop. It was presented by Soroptimist International of La Mesa.
“It’s wonderful to think that my efforts could help to inspire women and connect them to the opportunities they need to achieve their goals,” said McGrath, who serves her community through her involvement with Soroptimist International of La Mesa. She also hosted a seminar on how to build and re-build credit in collaboration with Gian Cerretto from Home Services Lending.
“Being a part of the mission to help women re-enter the workforce and move beyond the challenges in their lives is what our foundation is all about,” said Natalie Hill, manager of The Charitable Foundation. “I would like to thank Maureen for her dedication and all of the volunteers for their support of this great cause.”
McGrath drew from her years of experience successfully helping buyers and sellers of real estate to host the conference. A residential specialist with the Point Loma office and a member of the Point Loma Garden Club, she concentrates on the marketing and sale of real estate in the central coastal and metropolitan areas of San Diego.
