Foley Dental Group Celebrates Dr. Jocelyn Freeman’s 2nd Anniversary
Dr. Freeman has been providing excellent care for local patients since 2012.
Maryville, IL, June 27, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Foley Dental Group, a local dental group that services the Metro East St. Louis region, is celebrating Dr. Jocelyn Freeman’s 2nd anniversary of working with the group.
Dr. Freeman began working at Foley Dental Group in 2012. She had previously worked in dentistry in St. Louis for 6 years.
“As my family was growing, my husband and I decided it would be better if I worked closer to home,” said Dr. Freeman.
A native of the Metro East St. Louis region, Dr. Freeman graduated from Edwardsville High School and also graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in chemistry. She also obtained her doctorate of dental medicine degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 2006 and graduated Cum Laude. Her professional affiliations include membership in the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Association, and the Madison District Dental Society.
It was during her time in college when Dr. Freeman first met Dr. Foley.
“I have known Dr. Foley since 2000,” said Dr. Freeman. “We first met during our undergraduate studies at SIUE. We felt in 2012 that it was the perfect fit for me to join Foley Dental Group as she was expanding her busy practice.”
Dr. Freeman’s passion for detecting, evaluating, and fixing problems came from her father.
“My dad was a high school shop teacher and is known as ‘Mr. Fix-It’ for everything from cars to carpentry,” said Dr. Freeman. “As a child, I spent many hours admiring him fixing things with his tools and hands. I was often given parts and tools to tinker with to keep me busy. In high school, I discovered that I loved the sciences. As a dental assistant in college, I was thrilled to learn that I could combine my love of sciences and my desire to utilize my hand skills to fix things all while helping people with a career in dentistry!”
Dr. Freeman loves working at Foley Dental Group and especially enjoys the ability to implement the latest dental technology in a beautiful, clean, and modern environment.

Dr. Freeman has been happily married to her husband of 10 years, Ryan, who is a Director of Business Development at McCarthy Building Companies in St. Louis. Together they have 3 children, Gwynn, Cooper, and Isaac, whom they enjoy taking to the zoo, parks, children’s museums, and biking on local trails. Dr. Freeman enjoys spending time with family, swimming, fishing, reading, and scrapbooking.
