The Blue Stater Comedy Tour: Political Stand-up Comedy 10/18 in Chicago
The Blue Stater Comedy Tour will be debuting in Chicago on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 8:00 PM at Chicago Center for the Performing Arts. The Blue Stater Comedy Tour is guaranteed to take on and tackle all the subjects that are on the minds of the well read people who are wondering what the hell happened to our country, and rile and ruffle the feathers of all those who don't think there is a problem.
Chicago, IL, October 19, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Blue Stater Comedy Tour was concocted by Dave Odd (NBC, XM Radio) and Tom Simmons (Comedy Central's Live at Gotham, BET) earlier this year when they worked together in Cincinnati. They were discussing the national comedy scene, and how there seems to be a prejudice against any performers who speak out against the countless number of problems with the current administration. So Tom and Dave decided to put together a comedy tour for like minded comedians who could speak their minds without the repercussions of being reprimanded or fired for upsetting some homophobic redneck in the crowd. Alas, The Blue Stater Comedy Tour was born. Steve Hofstetter (Sports Illustrated, Sirius Radio) and Prescott Tolk (Comedy Central's Premium Blend) were also commissioned to be on board.
The Blue Stater Comedy Tour is guaranteed to take on and tackle all the subjects that are on the minds of the well read people who are wondering what the hell happened to our country, and rile and ruffle the feathers of all those who don't think there is a problem. Essentially, The Blue Stater Comedy Tour, is the Blue Collar Tour, for people who can read. Freedom of speech shouldn't be one sided, and what better place to see that example than at the debut of the completely uncensored and raw Blue Stater Comedy Tour.
