Limbo Films Captures Grit and Determination of Region in New Orleans Saints TV Spots
Peter A. Mayer Advertising has chosen Portland, Ore.-based Limbo Films to produce and direct a gritty, 3-part TV ad series for the NFL’s New Orleans Saints that captures the spirit of the team and the region. Key players, including quarterback Drew Brees, were filmed during locker room workouts and on the gridiron to highlight the determination that took the team to the NFC Championships last year, despite all of the obvious adversity faced by the people of New Orleans in recent years.
Portland, OR, October 19, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Today, Limbo Films, a Portland, Ore.-based film production company, unveiled its newly-produced television advertisements for the National Football League’s New Orleans Saints. The series of three gritty spots, titled “Earn It I, II and III,” are airing in New Orleans and other markets in the Gulf Coast region. The first spot appeared on August 20, with the remaining spots being rolled out throughout the 2007 – 2008 season.
The ads reveal the “raw and real” training regimen that players, including quarterback Drew Brees and players Charles Grant and Deuce McAllister, go through both in the weight room and on the gridiron. With season tickets already sold out for 2007-2008, the campaign was developed to celebrate the determination that goes into earning that level of fan allegiance. The team’s appearance in the 2007 NFC Championship game was a great source of pride for the beleaguered city of New Orleans. Peter A. Mayer Advertising, based in New Orleans, Louisiana, handled creative and account management for the project.
Production of the 3 spots was awarded to Limbo Films based on the company’s reputation for industry-leading sport and lifestyle-related spots. Limbo Films crews had also previously spent time in the Gulf region following Hurricane Katrina, producing spots for Mississippi Power that captured true stories of linemen, engineers and volunteers that aided Gulf residents in their time of greatest need.
“After all this region has been through, the Saints are a team that was one win away from going to the Super Bowl last year,” said Nolton. “I really wanted to capture that persevering spirit."
Limbo Films has produced ads for companies such as adidas, Camelbak, Dunlop Golf, Nike, Precept Golf, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Outdoor Life Network and Tommy Bahama. Nolton also specializes in working with top professional athletes, which have included Andre Agassi, Wayne Gretzky, Mia Hamm, Bo Jackson, Michael Jordan and countless others.
