Moto Surfers to Ride the Waves at Swatch Free4Style 2014

Estavayer-le-Lac, Switzerland, June 30, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Moto Surf Grand Prix (MSGP), the high-energy aquatic race, which has thousands of devoted fans around the globe, is going to be presenting a strong line-up of international riders ready to battle it out during the three-day event. Offering true thrill and excitement to more than 28,000 action-thirsty spectators, the first and only international Moto Surf competition will feature 24 athletes testing their limits, strength and endurance by riding high-performance motorized boards powered by Jetsurf. About the Race The Moto Surf GP will begin with three groups, each consisting of 8 racers. The groups will compete separately in the Qualification Rounds. The best riders from each group will form another group and continue racing until there are only 8 contenders left to compete in the Main Final Race where the ultimate winner will be determined. The Grand Prix is comprised of the following parts: Training: To familiarize with the track Qualification: To select the riders who will compete in the Final Races First Final Race: To determine who makes it to the Second Final Race Second Final Race: To designate the winner of the Grand Prix.

Moto Surf Grand Prixs & FIDSM
The FIDSM Moto Surf GPs are organized by the Fédération Internationale du Surf Motorisé (FIDSM) which was founded in 2012 and held its first Moto Surf GP race in Brno, Czech Republic the same year. FIDSM has created one of the most advanced, safe and affordable motorsports in the world by presenting the Moto Surf GP Race Championship. The Jetsurf Raceboards, the race equipment used, are ultra lightweight high-tech water machines, with the ability to be transported via person, car, boat, and plane (as personal luggage on international/domestic carrier flights). This allows all MSGP Racers to travel easily around the world together with their race equipment— a unique attribute in comparison to other motorized vehicles and sports. Combining excitement with safety and fun has made Moto Surf extremely popular among famous WRC, F1, Moto GP and Red Bull Air Race Pilots who are now training and racing with Jetsurf boards.

Jetsurf
Jetsurf started of as a fun side project of Dr. Martin Sula. He took upon the idea of engine-powered surfboards which has been around since the 1960s, but always failed because they were too heavy, underpowered and eventually losing out to Jetskis. However, after 8 years of development, testing, re-development and re-testing, Dr. Martin Sula released the first market-ready Jetsurf in 2008—that is the world’s first personal watercraft that could easily transported as luggage. Swatch Free4Style is an annual three-day event in Estavayer-le-Lac, Switzerland that lends visibility and support to increasing popular FMX, jet-ski,wakeboard and motorized surf competitions.
