The Basement Doctor Celebrates Our Country with Annual Patriotic Flag Display
Columbus, OH, June 29, 2014 --(PR.com)-- With popular demand from the people of Reynoldsburg, The Basement Doctor, Central Ohio’s most trusted source for waterproofing, crawlspace and foundation repair, will once again celebrate the Fourth of July with a large-scale flag display outside of their showroom on Route 256 and Livingston Avenue.
This marks the fifth year the company has displayed the flags on Independence Day as a way to honor military Veterans of all branches. This includes a number of Basement Doctor employees who served our country in the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines.
“The flags are so popular among the Reynoldsburg community, residents will visit the showroom in the weeks leading up to the holiday to ask if the flags will be on display again,” said Ron Greenbaum, The Basement Doctor.
This passion to support Veterans continues year round. Most recently, The Basement Doctor was the proud presenting sponsor for Victory Canteen. Victory Canteen pays tribute to World War II Veterans who never received a victory medal or welcome home celebration of any kind. There were over 800 people in attendance including 90 World War II Veterans. All net proceeds from the event were donated to Honor Flight Columbus, an organization that recognizes and celebrates World War II and Korean War Veterans by flying them to Washington, D.C. to visit memorials dedicated to their important service at no cost to them.
In addition to Victory Canteen and the flag display at their showroom, The Basement Doctor will also be participating in the Bexley, Dublin and Westerville July 4th parades again this year. They will be supporting the Ohio Animal Health Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on improving the future and health of all animals, including unwanted horses, wild animals, shelter pets and food animals.
“If people can’t make it by our Showroom to see our patriotic flag display, I really hope they will join us at one of the parades,” Greenbaum said. “The Ohio Animal Health Foundation does such important work for all animals, and I am very proud to get their message out to the community on July 4."
