Men as well as women have been looking to darken their locks this summer, based on the clientele at Sachi Salon & Spa, though their color preference is for a slightly lighter and less dramatic shade of brown than many female clients have been opting for. Often I find that men have experimented with color as a means of covering gray, but that full-head color for the sake of fashion is seen as something rather daring. Celebrity culture is no doubt a key driver of men’s newfound willingness to color their hair, with many male style icons regularly sporting different colors and styles. The third hair color trend this summer for those looking to step out in style is color blocking. Popular with both men and women, color blocking – also known as panel blocking – is a fun and interesting way to liven up any hair color or style. For a subtle look, color blocking can be used to produce panels on the underside of the hair. This option is perfect for those looking to be creative with their hair while maintaining a professional image for the office. The colored panels blend in subtly when the hair is worn down, but can be used for dramatic emphasis in an up do or by curling the hair.
