New Certification in Energy Excellence
360 Energy Inc is pleased to announce their new Canadian Certification in Energy Excellence program. St. Marys Cement Co is the first organization to be enrolled and will begin the process for certification in November.
Burlington, Canada, October 25, 2007 --(PR.com)-- 360 Energy Inc is pleased to announce the introduction of a new form of certification for large, sophisticated energy users. Certification in Energy Excellence will be awarded to sites after a 6-18 month review and assessment process, helping them to attain recognition for their reduction of energy usage over the last three years”, says David Arkell, President and CEO of 360 Energy Inc.
The pilot program is to be launched in November and companies from various sectors will be accepted into the program.
“St. Marys Cement Plant in Bowmanville is pleased to be one of the first organizations to become involved with the new certification program and we look forward to being able to reward both our Energy Team, and the other members of our staff who have worked so hard with reducing our energy usage during the past three years by becoming one of the first cement plants in Canada to receive this Certification” says Martin Vroegh, Environment Manager.
According to Arkell, he has met with the Federal Minister for Energy as well as six of the Provincial Ministers for Energy/Environment. “The meetings have been most encouraging and the Ministers are requesting that we keep them updated with our progress” says Arkell.
“The program calls for those companies who wish to obtain their certification, to provide the necessary evidence of their progress during the past three years with energy reduction, coupled with an outline of what they are planning to do during the next three years in order to assure that the reductions continue” says Don Crossley, Business Development Manager for 360 Energy.
“Assessors from the UK will be assigned initially to each company, to gather all the evidence required and provide a scoring, which will then be forwarded to an independent, international moderator for their final approval and the decision as to whether the certification will be granted.” – Don Crossley
“This will ensure that the entire process is totally independent from 360 Energy Inc.”confirms Arkell.
