HCJ Entertainment Announces US Marine Turned Comedian Now the Host of the World Famous Laugh Factory
HCJ Entertainment Announces Host for the Laugh Factory, US Marine Turned Comedian Carlos Loma. First Show to kick off July 14th 2014.
Los Angeles, CA, July 09, 2014 --(PR.com)-- In September of 2001, when the world-views of so many individuals were changed, Carlos Loma received the inspiration he needed to leave the Marine Corps and take to the stage as a stand-up comedian. Influenced by notable comedians such as Chris Rock, Richard Pryor, and Charlie Chaplin, Carlos Loma takes a fearless approach to stand-up. His ambition and dedication to comedy has taken him to stages all over the country.
Carlos Loma’s comedy is a broad spectrum of personal trials, social observations, and political views. His infusion of real-world experiences with satire creates comedy that his audience can understand and relate to.
HCJ Entertainment spoke with Carlos Loma who said: “First of all, praise and glory to God. My name is Carlos Loma and I'm a comedian. I really don't know how to explain my comedy. I tend to make fun of my pain and trials. I call it soul comedy. I'm a grouch. That's what people say about me.”
Carlos Loma at, 35, has seen his fair share of the world, especially for a kid who joined the Marines the day after he left Pomona high school in June 1997.
"I wanted to see the world, have an adventure. College was not for me," he said. "I wanted to serve, give back to my Country," said Carlos Loma.
The son of Mexican immigrants did see the world, but perhaps through a different lens than the one he envisioned.
Loma told HCJ Entertainment "It was amazing that I could meet so many different people and it is what really inspired my comedy.”
Carlos Loma began his comedy career on November 27th 2001 and has traveled the world performing for thousands of people.
He is now the host of the Latino Night at the World Famous Laugh Factory in Hollywood California. HCJ Entertainment is proud to announce that on July 14th he will kick off his first show, where he’ll be joined by Salvadorean Comedian Hoozay and Comedy sensation Cisco.
