West Coast Country Music Association forms San Diego Chapter

San Diego, CA, July 10, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The West Coast Country Music Association (WCCMA), a non-profit membership organization dedicated to promoting country, bluegrass and gospel music through education and performance, today announced the formation of a San Diego Chapter to serve the growing country music scene in the greater San Diego Region.

Elected to local chapter positions were James Cramer (President), Greg Fischer (Vice President), Will Ramey (Treasurer) and Tom Geldner (Secretary). All four are musicians with long time involvement in country music performance and songwriting in the San Diego area.

According to Mr. Cramer, “The WCCMA primary charter, based in Temecula, has proven very successful at fostering new talent development, showcasing bands and artists, sponsoring special events and sponsoring awards programs. We will be doing the same things in the San Diego region.”

The San Diego Chapter of the WCCMA has already hit the ground running by hosting a series of artist showcases in association with the Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery in Mission Valley, San Diego and country music station, KSON-FM 97.3. These showcases kicked off June 19 and will run every other Thursday throughout the summer.
