Grand Ole Opry creates Opry Pumpkin Patch
Nashville, TN, October 19, 2007 --(PR.com)-- In celebration of Opry Month, the Grand Ole Opry has unveiled an “Opry Pumpkin Patch” in the Opry House Lobby to be displayed to Opry fans visiting shows and special events throughout October* including this weekend’s Opry 82nd Birthday Bash.
The Pumpkin Patch features six pumpkins hand-carved by artist Brad Miller of Mechanicsville, VA. Depicted in the Pumpkin Patch are Opry members Little Jimmy Dickens, Vince Gill, Loretta Lynn, and Dolly Parton. Also earning a spot in the Patch is platinum-selling country artist Josh Turner, who will become an official Opry member on Sat., Oct. 27. The final pumpkin in the Patch depicts the Opry’s world-famous barn set. (See attached photos.)
