Ippon Technologies USA Selected by Allianz Global Assistance USA to Improve Their Website
Ippon Technologies USA's team of Java specialists to build the next generation of AllianzTravelInsurance.com
Richmond, VA, July 11, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Ippon Technologies USA announced today that Allianz Global Assistance USA has selected them to improve their travel insurance website to be more user-friendly and meet the latest technological standards.
The move is part of Allianz’s digital strategy in response to changes in customer behavior. Ippon will use the Allianz One Web platform in an effort to simplify the purchase process and improve self-service capabilities. One Web is a state-of-the art digital interaction platform, which forms the basis of digital products for the entire group.
A redesigned website for an improved user experience
Ippon will provide Allianz end-to-end support for this project and help standardize the technology. The goal is to create a multi-channel experience and enable users to have an equally good experience on mobile and computer devices.
The revised website is meant to help Allianz improve time-to-market through their One Web platform. By using similar building components across its business units, the company is gaining significant economies of scale and simplifying its digital processes.
Assistance during the migration process
As part of this project, Ippon will help transition the Allianz team to a new Java architecture, with a focus on performance and scalability.
With experience developing high-quality software for global companies across many industries, including banking, military and e-commerce, Ippon has assisted its clients through challenging transformations. The team will help expedite the migration process, resulting in a fast, smooth transition while minimizing risk and keeping effort and costs down.
“We selected the Ippon team because of their extensive knowledge and experience with Java-based technology and their flexibility in meeting our development needs,” said Caroline Horwitz, Director of Electronic Distribution at Allianz Global Assistance USA. “Ippon has a proven track record of success and we look forward to launching a dynamic new website to benefit our partners and customers.”
Training the Allianz Global Assistance team to understand Java architecture
Ippon’s team of Java specialists will assist Allianz during the migration of their website from .Net to Java and their new One Web platform. Contrary to .Net which runs on Windows OS only, Java is a multi-platform architecture, allowing applications to run on different types of servers without having to be rewritten.
“We are excited to assist Allianz Global Assistance in their digital transformation, to support them as they transition to a new platform and to make recommendations for improved architecture, functionality and performance. As international companies based in the United States and Europe, we both understand each other’s cultures and challenges. I am looking forward to working with the Allianz Global Assistance team to help them create a product that lives up to their expectations,” said Romain Lhéritier, managing director of Ippon Technologies USA.
