International Contract Molding Names New GM
Charlotte, NC, July 12, 2014 --(PR.com)-- International Contract Molding, LLC (ICM) names Steve Verschaeve as the new General Manager for its North American operations headquartered out of Charlotte, North Carolina. Verschaeve will lead ICM’s two distinct development teams. ICM’s reusable container development team is constructed of supply chain, manufacturing, and packaging engineering experts and partners with customers to first identify reusable container cost saving opportunities and then design, develop, and manufacture viable solutions. The second ICM team forms the company’s contract and custom molding division, which works with a large variety of customers and markets including automotive parts, appliances, and other consumer goods.
Verschaeve, a Six Sigma Black Belt, has held positions within ICM’s parent company, Otto Environmental Systems North America, Inc., since 2006. In addition to running their Eloy, Arizona manufacturing facility, Verschaeve has most recently served as Innovation & Technology Manager. In this position, Verschaeve helped the organization achieve tremendous growth and was responsible for researching and selecting injection mold builders, machine suppliers, auxiliary equipment, etc. He has worked extensively internationally between Otto’s and ICM’s facilities as well as with its partners in the USA, Europe, and Asia. In Charlotte, Verschaeve managed the conversion of a portion of the warehouse to a molding facility that now is the home for (13) injection molding machines ranging from 125 tons – 1200 tons and (10) new molds / products being built and qualified.
“It’s an exciting time for ICM as we are growing to meet the demands of our reusable packaging customers,” said Verschaeve. “We will continue to expand our line of collapsible totes, bulk containers, and plastic pallets, creating supply chain efficiencies for our customers.”
A Michigan native, Verschaeve holds a B.S. in Plastics Engineering from Ferris State University and an MBA from the Arizona State University’s School of Global Management and Leadership. As a plastics industry veteran, Verschaeve’s experience as an application, process and manufacturing engineer will bring substantial increases in efficiencies and outputs.
