Stories for Children Magazine Now Taking Submissions for 2008
Ivins, UT, October 21, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Editor VS Grenier of Stories for Children Magazine announced today the magazine is open for Submissions for the Year 2008. Stories for Children Magazine is growing quickly so that more authors and illustrators are needed to keep up with their readers demand.
The editors at Stories for Children also thank all the writers and illustrators that have donated their work and helped turn SFC into a success story. “Without the writers and illustrators, and their belief in us, we couldn't have turned out a quality magazine. Our biggest goal for 2008 is to get SFC turned around into a paying market,” says Assistant Editor, Gayle Jacobson-Huset.
Although Stories for Children Magazine is currently an unpaid market, editor VS Grenier plans to take the Ezine to print in the near future. “There are also plans to put the top stories, articles, poems, and activities in a year end anthology. All authors and illustrators whose works are chosen will be compensated,” says Grenier.
Stories for Children Magazine Has a Wish List for Year 2008:
Nonfiction articles for all age groups the magazine covers – 3-6, 7-9, and 10-12
Fiction stories specifically for ages 3-6
Crafts, Puzzles, and Activities are also welcome at this time.
“Please check the website for suggested topics to cover each issue. These will be changed on a regular basis, so please check frequently,” says Jacobson-Huset. “We are not a themed magazine. These are suggestions only; we are open to your ideas and will evaluate each submission for relevance to our readers.”
“Please don't send rhyming prose stories – our readership just doesn't seem to enjoy them. The Guidelines are changing, so please make sure to check Stories for Children Magazine's Submission Guidelines on the website before submitting at http://storiesforchildren.tripod.com/id7.html,” suggests Grenier.
