Emily Goodman CPM, ARM, CAPS Promoted

Saint Clairsville, OH, July 12, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Emily Goodman, CPM, ARM, CAPS of Greensboro, NC has been promoted to Vice President of Core Realty Holdings Management in Greensboro. A Licensed Real Estate Broker-in-Charge in North Carolina, Goodman is recognized nationally within the industry as a dynamic, property management professional with progressive residential and commercial expertise. She has been employed by Core Realty Holdings Management since 2008; she has a wide ranging remit in her day-to-day role that incorporates new business development for 3rd party management, the preparation and implementation of budgets, creation of project proposals, management of vendor contracts, timely collection of fees and cost control. Her responsibilities also encompass overseeing preventive maintenance operations (both general and emergency) and ensuring compliance with safety and building code regulations to the highest corporate standards. A comprehensive range of construction and repair work, major remodeling and renovation projects are capably managed with her guidance. Emily has gained a national profile within the property management industry and has published numerous articles in both national and international trade publications. She was named as one of the ‘Top 30 Leaders Under 30' by the Journal of Property Management, awarded IREM Chapter #56 ‘CPM of the Year' in 2012 and ‘Regional Manager of the Year', also in 2012 by the Piedmont Triad Apartment Association. In addition, IREM awarded her the ‘Professional Achievement Award' in 2013. Goodman earned her CPM designation in 2008 and her ARM designation in 2006. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Elon University and is pursuing her Masters in Real Estate Management. An active member of industry bodies, both at a local and national level, Emily has served in numerous chapter leadership positions with IREM's Piedmont Triad No. 56, including as president, an office she held for two terms. Nationally, she has been a member of the IREM Governing Council and has held leadership positions on the following: IREM's Executive Council, Membership and Credentialing Committee, Foundation Board, ARM Enhancement Committee and the ARM forum. In addition to her work with IREM, Emily provides guidance and expertise to the Apartment Association of North Carolina, currently serving on its board of directors. Goodman, 33 a St. Clairsville Ohio native and a 1999 graduate of the Linsly School and her husband JR Shortall have resided in Greensboro since graduating from Elon University in 2013. They have two girls ages 4 months old and 1.5 years old.
