Southern Ladies Purse Gala Raises $35,655 for Me Fine Foundation

Raleigh, NC, October 19, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Lori K. Lee, executive director of Me Fine Foundation, Inc., has announced that the 2nd Annual Southern Ladies Purse Gala raised $35,655. The event was held on Sept. 16 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Cary and featured a live auction of unique, one-of-a-kind purses, including items donated by local celebrities and designers nationwide. All proceeds will be directed by Me Fine Foundation, Inc. to provide assistance for children and families at Duke Children’s Hospital and the North Carolina Children’s Hospital at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

“We appreciate the time and dedication everyone devoted to make this event a huge success,” said Lisa Valentino, director of development for Me Fine Foundation, Inc. “The proceeds raised will support the much-deserving families at Duke and UNC, and we look forward to an even bigger event next year.”
