BuildingSearch.com Announces the Completion of a New Comprehensive Commercial Real Estate Portal for California
BuildingSearch.com, Inc. announced today the launch of its new commercial real estate search website for most California markets. The company has compiled a comprehensive database of 30,000 available commercial property listings routinely updated from Sacramento to San Diego. Every property type is researched, and its low cost subscription service is available on demand or through a monthly subscription.
BuildingSearch.com has over 3,500 registered users with hundreds of new subscribers joining each week. The website caters to real estate professionals and companies using the Internet to source available property information. Seeing the growth of online search, many brokerage companies and landlords have signed up with BuildingSearch.com to help drive additional traffic to their listings. “We are pleased with the results we are seeing on BuildingSearch. People are using search engines to look for available space, and we have decided to embrace this growing trend and to provide global exposure for our listings” said Jack Troedson, general managing partner of brokerage firm Cornish & Carey Commercial (Oncor International) in Palo Alto.
The company works closely with major listing houses, developers, owners, and property managers to track available commercial listings. In addition to Cornish & Carey in N. California, Peery/Arrillaga and South Bay Development, two prominent local developers, use BuildingSearch.com. “Who wouldn’t want agents and tenants to start the site selection process online? This saves a ton of time for everybody, and makes the site selection process much more efficient,” offered Jason Peery, principal at Peery/Arrillaga, a company that has developed and managed millions of square feet in California.
Colliers International in Sacramento recently decided to feature all of its property listings on BuildingSearch.com after one of its agents secured a new transaction from the portal, a common result from an online property search. “With 77% of all residential purchases originating online, I think we will see that more and more companies are going to look to the Internet to search for properties. Given the high price of gas and the time it takes to move around traffic, pre-touring on BuildingSearch.com is a great place to start the site selection process,” explains Steve Condrey, a 30 year career real estate veteran who helped start the company last year.
Use of the property search engine is $9.95 per day or $25 per month, a real bargain compared to similar services which can cost as much as $400 a month per subscriber. For listing agents and brokerage companies, BuildingSearch.com offers its Featured Property Program to showcase properties at the top of its search results with added features. BuildingSearch.com is following the model of many software companies by delivering its information and applications “on demand” via credit card rather than through an expensive software suite.
A number of Silicon Valley commercial real estate agents have subscribed, and some have even invested in the privately held company. John McMahon, a leading tenant rep agent in San Jose with Colliers International is one of them. “I became intrigued by the fact that within seconds I could have the intended search result from any computer. This makes for a great second source of researched data and an extension of my business practice which is to never miss an available building.”
BuildingSearch.com is both a vertical search engine and website for the procurement of real estate equipment and services. This type of online audience influences billions of dollars in real estate related expenditures each year. Mark Denham, owner and operator of 247 WorkSpace, Inc., a fast growing local online and direct retailer of office furnishings, agrees. “From office furniture to moving vans, BuilidngSearch.com is a place to go to source those things that every company needs at some point. This particular search request is the time when key relationships and purchase decisions are made,” suggests Denham who advertises on the website. Edward Kinsey, partner in The Kinsey Hills Group and formerly co-founder of Ariba, Inc., a leader in enterprise spend management, also has his eye on the company. “The migration of traditional business processes to internet communities is continuing at an accelerated pace. BuildingSearch.com is a natural to capture this traffic and translate it to a true value proposition for all stakeholders of a multi billion dollar industry,” opined Kinsey.
BuildingSearch.com offers a number of reasonably priced subscriptions for all industry participants. Soon, the company will unveil its much anticipated mobile online service throughout California. The company plans to rollout its national service platform next year.
