Globe Appoints Ron Koniz as Vice President of Business Development
Globe Composite Solutions is pleased to announce Dr. Ron Koniz has joined the company as the Vice President of Business Development to focus on building customer relationships and creating business strategies specifically aimed at commercializing Globe's newly patented family of Brandonite® HGC non-toxic, RoHS compliant radiation shielding materials.
Rockland, MA, July 23, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Globe Composite Solutions is pleased to announce Dr. Ron Koniz has joined the company as the Vice President of Business Development. In this newly created position, Dr. Koniz will focus on building customer relationships and creating business strategies specifically aimed at commercializing Globe's newly patented family of Brandonite® HGC non-toxic, RoHS compliant radiation shielding materials for the nuclear energy, nuclear medicine, cargo-baggage screening and semi-conductor fabrication applications.
Koniz earned a PhD in chemistry from Cornell University and has 35 years of experience in developing and commercializing high value-added, technical products such as polymers, fibers, textiles and composites for the industrial, military, automotive, medical, energy and renewable materials industries. Most recently Ron was the Vice President of Polymers Business Development for Amyris where he worked with major international partners to commercialize polymer applications for a biosynthetically derived, renewable hydrocarbon. Dr. Koniz spent most of his career at DuPont Textile Fibers and Invista where he held numerous senior level positions in technical product development, marketing and international business strategy.
