Capital Safety Australia Announces the Grand Opening of the Darwin Fall Protection Training Centre
A modern height safety training facility to better service the increased training demands of the Darwin region.
Sydney, Australia, July 24, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Capital Safety, home of the DBI-SALA and PROTECTA brands of fall protection equipment has announced the grand opening of their New Fall Protection Training Centre in Winnellie, Northern Territory. Capital Safety has invested in the 550 square-metre all weather training facility in order to make it the most modern training facility around.
On the 9th of July, Capital Safety opened the doors to one of the biggest indoor training facilities in Australia. They played host to representatives from a range of industries and companies. Some of these included Power & Water, Laing O'Rourke, JKC, GTNT, Leighton, Sunbuild, Monadelphous and ConocoPhillips.
“The Northern Territory and Darwin in particular is experiencing a very demanding period of industrial activity resulting in an influx of skilled workers from within a broad range of disciplines,” said Ashley Campbell, National Manager, Training & Rescue for Capital Safety Australia & New Zealand. “As the world’s largest manufacturer of fall protection equipment it is our responsibility to promote, support and educate the workplace in safe work practices when it comes to working at height, in confined spaces and rescue procedures.”
Capital Safety offers a full range of fall protection, confined space and industrial rescue training programs as well as on-site training customised to the unique characteristics of your work environment. This new facility with a specially built 5.5m high practical training tower allows students to undertake height safety, rescue and confined space training that reflects real life environments. We have also added in a low level roofing structure to simulate roofing environments as well as a beam walks structure.
Capital Safety also has a training facility in Sydney, as well as licensees that can deliver on-site training and demonstration for training workers across Australia.
Michael Biddle, Managing Director of Capital Safety, Australia and New Zealand, commented: “As a leader in fall protection, we believe in bringing every worker at height home safely. The new Darwin facility is an extension of our commitment to being the only company focussed exclusively to fall protection in the Australian market. Our additional Australian investments in training, product innovation, delivery services and online resources are made with our customers’ satisfaction and safety in mind. We are dedicated to ensuring that the demands of working at height are met head on with safety leading the way.”
In celebration of the Grand Opening, Capital Safety is offering 15% off all training courses booked for the month August 2014.
