First-Ever Scientific Communications Conference to Address Sunshine Act, Case Studies
Investigator-Led Research, Timeline and Resource Management Among Session Topics at Inaugural Event
Chicago, IL, July 24, 2014 --(PR.com)-- For the first time ever, Q1 Productions is hosting the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Scientific Communications Conference, offering tailor-made, high-level presentations and open floor discussions to scientific communications professionals.
Attendees to the conference will have the opportunity to network and share ideas with fellow scientific communications professionals, hear case studies from leading pharmaceutical and medical device companies, and participate in interactive panel discussions that address the most top-of-mind issues in the industry. More than a dozen scientific communications experts will be leading in-depth presentations and panel discussions, including Ryan Dammerman of Therakos, Inc., John Smith of Novo Nordisk, and Kim Pepitone of Cactus Communications and ISMPP.
Unique to this conference is an open floor panel discussion led by editors and publishers of medical journals, who will provide a first-hand perspective on the submissions they receive from scientific communications professionals. Nancy Berliner of Blood Journal, Neil Adams of Nature Publishing Group, and Sherwood Gorbach of Clinical Infectious Diseases will discuss submission requirements that align with transfer of value reporting, writing for publication, and managing timelines.
With the Sunshine Act coming into fruition, the conference will have a heavy focus on the understanding of the transfer of value for Sunshine Act requirements, corporate integrity agreements, and creating industry-wide policies and best practices. Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss specific challenges faced with the new regulations, legal ramifications, and developing a cohesive and consistent interpretation of the Sunshine Act.
