Moye White Announces Formation of ADR Group

Denver, CO, July 24, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Denver law firm Moye White LLP today announced the formation of an ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) Practice Group.

Concurrently, the firm announced that Jack W. Berryhill will join Moye White effective September 2, 2014 as a Partner and a member of the ADR Group. Berryhill is a former District Court Judge in the First Judicial District (2000-2014), whose practice will focus on litigation, negotiation and settlement of complex family law issues. He is considered one of only a handful of “go-to” mediators and arbitrators with this focus in the Denver area. His practice also covers complex commercial and business litigation (including securities fraud), corporate disputes, land use disputes and homeowner association issues.

Berryhill is joined in the ADR Group by Jim Burghardt (Group Chair and former Managing Partner of the firm), Partners Ted White and Carrie Rodgers, and Of Counsel Jerry Conover. All dedicate at least part of their practice to serving as “neutrals” – arbitrators or mediators – for disputes involving parties who are not clients of the firm. The five attorneys bring decades of experience in specific areas of law, business and real estate with a strong understanding of the role of the neutral in the ADR process.

List said that the firm’s new ADR Group distinguishes itself from traditional ADR providers in additional ways, namely that the attorneys will continue to hone their skills as both advocates and neutrals for the benefit of those they serve; further, although only one member of the Group typically would handle a particular ADR matter, the entire resources of the firm can be made available to the neutral regarding issues of law or other matters, as agreed to by the parties.
