William Peace University Names Jashaun Peele Associate Professor of Mathematics
Four-Year Baccalaureate Welcomes Award-Winning Higher Education Professional
Raleigh, NC, July 26, 2014 --(PR.com)-- William Peace University (http://www.peace.edu), a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, is proud to announce the hiring of Jashaun Peele as Associate Professor of Mathematics. In his new role, Peele will teach undergraduate, introductory level college mathematics courses, including algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, finite mathematics and introductory statistics. Additionally, Peele will be responsible for serving on campus-wide committees and will work with students outside of class.
Prior to joining William Peace University, Peele, a North Carolina native, taught Developmental Math at College of The Albemarle in Elizabeth City, NC, and served as a Graduate Assistant and Adjunct Professor at Elizabeth City State University. He was also named Co-Coordinator for the Minority Male Mentoring Program at College of The Albemarle, where he received an Excellence in Teaching award. Peele holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Mathematics from Elizabeth City State University.

It feels good to know that I am a part of a growing institution where I can make an impact on the students that I come in contact with,” Peele said. “I am excited about the upcoming school year and this new chapter in my career, and life.
