Chris Campbell to Speak at Self Funding Conference in Washington D.C., September 21-24

Chris Campbell is Vice President of the Health and Benefits division of Cragin & Pike and is responsible for leading all aspects of Cragin & Pike’s benefits consulting, brokerage and client services. Prior to launching his employee benefits consulting practice, Campbell was employed as the Executive Director of Corporate Benefits for MGM Resorts International and Station Casinos, Inc. Collectively, Chris’s current clients provide benefits to over 180,000 covered lives across the United States.

In addition to the above roles, Chris brings a well-rounded experience to clients having also held positions as the Director of Contracting for a large hospital system and as Vice President of Operations for a managed care organization. As a former Governor-appointed member of the Board of Directors for the State of Nevada Public Employee Benefits Program and a current Director for the Nevada-based Health Services Coalition, he has input into benefits strategies and processes for many of Nevada’s largest public and private employers including the Nevada university system. Chris earned his degree in Health Care Administration with a minor in business administration from University of Nevada – Las Vegas. He is involved in numerous non-profits including Police Athletic League, Big Brothers Big Sisters and was recently named “2013 Man of the Year” by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Southern Nevada.

Chris will be joining John Socha on the topic “Partnering to Improve Access to Quality Healthcare in Sin City.” This session will discuss how Nevada is perennially ranked near the bottom for healthcare access and quality in the United States. In an effort to promote a long term approach to improving access to quality healthcare for their employees and reducing cost trends, Cragin & Pike and their business partner, MGM Resorts International, have developed a custom, direct contracted Patient Centered Medical Home health plan. Two year results are very promising with goals to export the model to other employers and increase the quality of healthcare.
